Warmoes
Warmoes is a young instrumental folk band with roots in the picturesque Gooik, a small village in Flemish Brabant, Belgium. In their unique line-up of accordion, tenor sax/low whistle, piano/bouzouki, bass and drums, they blend influences from jazz, pop and funk to create a distinctive, own sound.
With ‘De Binnenbuiten’ they release their debut album, inviting the listener on a journey through a variety of musical landscapes: a crisp winter walk, a hot cup of tea on the couch, an adventurous bike ride, a cozy jam session in a bar…
Across nine original compositions, they share their story, woven together by carefully collected field recordings that add an extra dimension. Their vibrant live energy stays ever-present: fresh, honest and with full force ahead.
The album moves effortlessly back and forth between intimate moments and explosive full-band bangers. From a theatrical vocal arrangement to a fragile solo piano piece, Warmoes let their creativity loose, while always staying grounded in the hearty core of Flemish folk music.
